The fork in the road

Well my big goal was six months of sobriety and then I would reassess. Told myself at the end of six month I’d buy a six pack make a new plan.
I have now reached that goal and I’m left facing a fork in the road.
Don’t get me wrong, every day heck sometimes every moment is a fork in the road.
Guess I just didn’t really have a plan for what I would do after the six month mark !! I see all these folks on here that are 3 and 4 years sober and that seems daunting……… but six months seemed pretty daunting at five months.

And ya I didn’t end up getting that six pack……

Good work Jim!

Congrats
I only stay sober one day at a time. Just for today.
That’s not too daunting.

Ask yourself :
How Do I feel ?
Vs
How DID I feel?

That's awesome. Glad you chose not to. Here's the deal, 6mo, I imagine you saw a lot of blessing in that 6mo. You can stay the course and see how much more you will be blessed, or you can fold to it and see how much you regret it when that 6pack is gone. As one that just hit reset after 18mo, if you are anything like me, you'll regret it. Even if all goes well and you drink those 6, and you get back on the wagon, you'll regret it. So my advice, is whatever you chose to do, don't chose something that you will later regret.
