Janet I love your gratitude.
I couldn't agree with you more. When I got sober I originally got sober for all the wrong reasons. As many of us try to do in the very beginning.
When I realized that getting sober and being sober are completely two different things that was life-changing.

It's so true that getting sober and being sober are two different things Jim. Understanding that has truly changed my life. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

That has been one of my core values for the past 35 + years of my sobriety .

To love yourself to a point, and then some, where you don't have to drink. For me drinking isn't an option.

Well spoken and message received

I couldn't agree more. Most of my drinking was due to the fact of how I felt and viewed myself on the inside and I tried for too long to obtain that validation from others, to no avail. With that, I am grateful that I am becoming sober and I can confidently and genuinely say that I love the person that I am becoming today. 🫶
