I don’t think you can open this link or copy and paste. However, its worth typing into your browswer if you have had any issues with the “God” word in 12 step programs.
I have struggled with the “God” word in AA for decades. I first got sober in 1989, but never could get past step 2. I know the readings also included phrases like “higher power”, “a power greater than ourselves”, and “of my understanding”, but the word “God” is repeated over and over again.
This time around i have finally been able to push thru the “God” word, and find a power(s) greater than myself to believe in. I work the 12 steps to the best of my ability, and ive never been more comfortable in my own skin.
