The Grateful Alcoholic

I have sent so much gratitude into the universe in the last couple months. I have opened myself up to new experiences, and taken the time to figure out who I am, what needs to be worked on, what environments I thrive in, and most importantly, that I am not alone. That awful loneliness that encompassed me is gone, and the willfulness pushing me in the wrong direction is receding. The power driving me now is KNOWING I have a bright future ahead of me, so long as I continue to stay present. I don’t expect life to be a bowl of cherries, but it doesn’t need to be a dumpster fire anymore either. I’m grateful to be both chemically and emotionally sober today.
I CANNOT get ‘Sugar Magnolia’ out of my head. Thanks, Jerry. Sending virtual hugs to all!

Gratitude...
It reminds us of our past and what it was like...
Gratitude...
It shows us of what we have now that we are thankful for...
Gratitude...
Is a gift that keeps on giving as long as we have it.
