The noise in my head is finally quieting down,
the "should-haves" and "could-haves" are losing their grip.
I’m many chapters into this story,
and finally, I’m the one holding the pen.
No more hiding behind the old shadows or the habits.
One assignment, one meeting, one honest word at a time.
My kids and my future, they’re waiting out there,
but I can only meet them right here, in this skin.
The chains were heavy, but I’ve learned how to drop them.
I’m finally walking home to myself—JUST 4 TODAY.

Way to go keep working
the program in recovery remember it's one day at a time and if you stay in the middle of recovery and keep being grateful to your higher power you can stay sober and be a good example of recovery for others
