The other night I experienced a trigger and worked through it. Before I decided that I was powerless of my alcohol usage I was continually not following through with my word. I had made plans to see my brother on multiple occasions and bailed out because I was inebriated. I finally got on contact with him and he let me have it. I was angry that he called me out on my bs. I felt the oh so familiar feeling deep inside and I wanted to drink. Really bad. Instead of acting on that impulse that has always been so normal for me I reached out. I had a conversation about how I felt, called down and called him again. I was brutally honest about what I'm doing and was able to work through the situation that I had caused. The conversation ended with I love you and a resentment was dropped. I had self recognition of a trigger and turned it. It's small wins and in this case it was huge for me. Just talking about these things has been monumental and I wish you all the best. Keep up the growing process 1 day at a time.

That is ABSOLUTELY a win! Be proud of yourself. Resentments are the doors to relapse. And Expectations are resentments that have not come to pass. Lee on doing the next right thing! Great job man.
Well done brother Chris! I have so many similar stories. Taking responsibility for our actions and changing our attitudes, give us a whole new freedom.
Be proud of yourself great job
Thanks Tim, it is hard to swallow pride and admit when you are wrong and be real. I can use this as an example in the future.
