The release

I went skydiving for the first time August 13th. It wasn’t the anniversary of my sobriety or anything to do with my drinking. But it was. My mind was never clear enough to focus on this adventure due to the fog of drinking. It will be two years in October since I last drank. I stopped drinking for ME and my mental health. I want to continue this sport because this changed me in a way I cannot explain. I feel like this is yet another achievement in my recovery but do we ever “fully” recover? That being said, I feel lighter and calmer and all the more focused. I have a better sense of purpose and am less “lost”.

In answer to your question I believe that yes.... we do recover.
There is a promise made that We have recovered from a seemingly hopeless state of mind and body. I've found that promise to be true. I hope you will as well.
