Is a sponsor only through AA? Or are there others ways to get one? Could use one myself.
I believe that all 12 step programs do sponsorship. Mines from NA. Do you have the ability to go to AA, NA, CMA, etc. for whatever you struggle with?
Yes I have several programs by me. I haven't been to a meeting yet though. A bit nervous. It's only Day 2 for me.
Congratulations on day 2! I get being nervous. But I can guarantee you that if you walk through the doors of a meeting, you'll be met with open arms and be told that they're glad you're there. And they genuinely mean it. They just want to help

My sponsor was temporary, just to satisfy IOP. He approached me. Come to find out, our journeys through life have a lot in common. He is my sponsor after 21 months.
