The Sleep Question πŸ‘‡

Do you struggle with sleep in sobriety? How do you handle it, or how long did it take for your sleep to improve? Let’s talk about it!

Sober since June. Still working on sleep. I’ve turned to prayer and it does help

In only about a month i ecperienced significant improvements

I find that positive affirmation sleep meditations have helped a lot. They serve 2 purposes, they put you to sleep, then feed the subconscious with positive thoughts as you sleep. Many will play for 3-8 hours. Many available on You Tube. Just a warning if you do not subscribe to you tube, find Ad Free meditations, the volume of the ads will wake you up and defeat the purpose.

Sleep is a tough one, depending on how far your disease progressed you may have total insomnia or none at all. I was pretty bad and I have permanent insomnia now but it has gotten a little better.

I sleep great & am very physically active during the day. Nearly 3 yrs sober and I feel better and better each day!

Sleep.... What's that?
I'm blessed to wake up and not come to.
As long as I have ambient sound in the background I'm good.
That ambient sound could be the TV or the sound of the ocean waves. Worst case scenario then I'll take a sleep side.
I'm just grateful that I have my own comfortable bed to sleep on and not the barren desert to lay on with a Bradley tank over me as a cover.
