The truth at times is harsh.. very harsh! Life can be harsh and at times recovery can be harsh.
At times Living Life on life’s terms is a harsh reality.. when using tools of recovery we have been freely given it enables us to live through the hard times. If anything it’s like a warrior with a shield/armor without it that warrior will fall.
In a lot of recovery literature you will find the quote “jails institutions and death.“
As harsh as it may sound that’s all we got coming if we continue live in the horrors of addiction.
The results of drink pill or fix is far more harsh then some of the things we here in recovery.

We are not responsible for our addiction but we are responsible for our recovery. He then said “this ain’t no popularity contest kid,
Popularity might get you survival or even a good looking casket.. recovery wether harsh or not will break the chains of addiction that bind us, and open doors to a beautiful life beyond dreams.
