I wanted to share something that has been helping a little. I downloaded an app for starting new routines as I think this is the perfect time to reshape myself and start healthier habits. Another recovery app suggested downloading an app called Fabulous which teaches you how to painlessly begin new habits.
The first challenge in the app is to create a foundation for a morning routine. The first step literally begins with just drinking water when you wake up.. that is all. Once that becomes a concrete habit, you can begin what’s called “habit stacking”. Basically, the brain finds it easier to make habits when they are attached to a habit you already have. You will take on a new habit way easier if you do it right after something you already do every day. We wake up everyday, so that is the first habit to stack off of.
I hope this helps someone.. right now is a good time to decide what kind of person we want to be. You can be whoever you want.. it just takes practice to change.
