When I was drinking I always blamed everything and one except myself. I never took responsibility of my actions and created excuses why I felt I didn't need to. Everyone was to blame and if they only saw it my way then they'd understand. Was my way of thinking. How wrong I was. I was the one at fault because I chose to partake in something I couldn't handle. A liquid that caused me to make bad decisions and burn bridges to ash. Once I started to accept that I was the problem and everyone else was the victim; my sobriety became more clear. Staying sober is not protecting myself, it's protecting everyone else from the monster inside of me. Sobriety allows me to be able to, "think twice and move once."

“ Think twice and move once “ - going to remember that, those words. Thanks, Tommy.

Yeah I learned that a long time ago. It's been very helpful when I apply it.
I feel as if I accepted that I was the problem and allowed the shame to take over to the point that I wanted to numb out and as soon as possible. I had a few moments these past days where I really wanted to drink while I right, played that tape forward. Ok. While I still feel kinda crappy while I m eating chocolate versus drinking myself into an idiotic stupor so chocolate, 10–and ( expletive ) alcohol, zero. I hate that devil. Let’s dehydrate that you know what! ( in case y’all cannot tell, trying not to curse )?!
