Third time since downloading this app that I am starting

Third time since downloading this app that I am starting over. It’s been two days, I feel like trash and had a plug message ‘are you sure?’ messages twice. Yes-fuck yes- I am finally so sure. I want to have a future with my beautiful daughter and give her the world. Last month I chose using over bills and as I did it I’m wondering wtf is wrong with me?? I’m not going to worry about that again. I’m done. I have better reasons to live than a temporary euphoria. my daughter is my forever euphoria. I am blessed to have had her, to get to feel the warmth of her smile.

It’s also been hard because my cousin and I who are so close, we’ve been using together to escape. But we both got rid of everything the same day. We can do this together, build one another up. I just know it.

I’m going to start spending my extra time at the gym and looking for a second job. We’re gonna go start out fresh without all the chaotic reminders. Just gotta save!

I feel sick af… but so hopeful for me and my little family and my cousin and her’s. It’s real life this time and there is no going back.

Hey Jeski, i have a very good support family around me and I still relapsed. I will never let that define who I am and neither should you. I'm sober just over 4 months this time. What i have learned is i can never drink again and 1 day at a time, slow and steady wins this journey. If you ever want to talk message me, reach out I'll talk. Best of luck

So er community like NA meetings?

Hi Jeski, NA works! There is also a rad women’s group called She Recovers that has meetings that might be helpful too! The most important thing is to keep your sobriety your top priority, in my experience, if I didn’t have sobriety I wouldn’t have anything else in my life. I also like to listen to sobriety podcasts like Tell Me Something True, Sobriety Rocks, She Recovers, and Seltzer Squad. They are all by women in recovery.

NA is a great program. Jenn is full of excellent ideas for women in sobriety too. Whatever you choose, or whatever combination of modalities works for you, immerse yourself in it. Don’t walk the lonely road. It’s damn near impossible to do this by yourself.
