This is day 2. I went to my first AA

This is day 2. I went to my first AA meeting last night, right after my aunts burial, it was now or never, and I did it. After 3 straight months of drinking everyday, I did it. I didn’t sleep much, I kept feeling anxious and my mind kept going into a deep darkness every time I closed my eyes but I did it.. Today, I’m already feeling the depth and truth of this road to recovery. I hope and pray I can wake up tomorrow again and say I did it.

Proud of you! The good ol cliche ‘it does get better’ definitely rings true. I’ll be shooting prayers your way!

Hooray for you👏 Keep at it! Wish I could tell you it’ll only get easier… which it will but this is the time and these are the days that will test you pretty hard so keep that strength and positive attitude you’ve got and you can push through towards easier days, months then years. Proud of you! It’s all about one day at a time and you’re doing it🤗

Atta girl! Woohoo :tada: that makes me smile! When AA meetings are a success! I know all to well that blissfully beautiful feeling you get when you enter those rooms! The people, the energy and vibration are so powerful. Keep coming back! I like to say I’ve joined the “no matter what club” free to all that want it!

Thank you, they are much needed. Hope and pray for you too. We got this.

It was definitely a very powerful environment…. Thanks for this comment, I felt very weird on my way there and I kept telling my self “ I just have to go through that door” and well , I did. I did it, and I felt the peace and connection to say no last night. So here it is for one day at a time.

Thank you.

I think seeing the doctor is best. Or go to ER for withdrawal symptoms. Either or should get you set up for success by helping ease any withdrawal symptoms. Things like klonodine hydroxyzine and Valium to help ease anxiety and sleep problems or whatever other issues you might face. Though not everyone needs it It’s a good idea to have a medical hand to help in the beginning both for your health and safety. I feel it also lessens the risk of relapse due to withdrawal symptoms left untreated making you feel like there’s no other way but to drink again to try and stop them. My prayer will be for you tonight at my meeting :hugs::hugs::hugs:

Welcome Adriana. You’re doing great. Keep up the good work
