This is the last morning I wake up hating myself. I don't ever want to feel this hangover pain again!!!! It isn't worth it.
I remember looking in the mirror and saying to the reflection,”I hate you”, I would then spit in the mirror. I had so much hate for myself for all the eff ups and what my life had become. I then found recovery. I remember someone saying, “we’re gonna love you til you love yourself”. In that moment I cried because I knew I had found home. You don’t have to go through this alone. Love yourself enough to stop feeling like this every morning. Your worth it.
Pretty cool. Just don’t pick up and eventually you’ll learn to love yourself and life again. Get plugged into something other than yourself. Put your faith in others. Keep reaching out. This is the first step.
As bad as this F’ing disease is, there is a solution Sharon. You are not alone. There are millions of recovering alcoholics in recovery at this moment. There are 10’s of millions still suffering in active alcoholism. You can be one of us in recovery. Personally I suggest AA. If you go to aa.org you will find all the info you need. There are 24/7/365 phone numbers, and a meeting guide that will tell you where and when meetings are in you area. Just show up. Give it a try. If they have some women’s meetings in your area, I suggest you try those too. All you got to be is willing. Let’s go…

I'm glad you're making a positive change.
I have felt this so many times more than I’d like to admit! I can remember begging God not to let me wake up when I’d go to sleep, literally praying to please just let me be at peace. I hated life it was terrible. I went through a lot and I had to, to get where I am today. Of course it isn’t easy and takes work but it’s so worth it. I’m not sure your exact situation or what your D.O.C is but if you want to know what I did and how I got here today or just want an ear to listen, I’d be more than happy too! Sending you positive thoughts abs prayers. We’ve all been where you are and we all struggle some days easier than others and we all fall as well, it’s all about getting back up!! Make yourself the priority and start to journal, set a couple goals doesn’t need to be great big extreme things, things that are doable and will get you moving in the right direction. You are here on this app so that shows you want something better for you. Join some groups try a meeting, work whatever works for you💕
