This stuff comes in waves of emotions! The last time I posted I was having a tough time with emotions. Since then I became so positive. Felt amazing and now I’m back on the couch for 3 days straight feeling depressed. Full of emotions again. I don’t understand where or why it comes and goes like this. So frustrating. I know that I have not been as active in meetings or even the readings lately. I wonder if it’s just needing more of the positive vibes and energy around me again.
Get to meetings & socialize with other members outside of meetings😊
Same thing happens to me. Tomorrow is my bday, and I am all of a sudden just angry. I have no idea why…
Melissa I get it. I've been going through waves as well. I'm in a sober living and surrounded by good guys and staying active in recovery, but sometimes it all hits me at once. I've been pushing ppl away subconsciously nad its hurting them so I try to remind myself im doing things for the best for me
I have to learn to step outside my comfort zone. I know I need to do this to get results and grow.
Tim! Happy Early Birthday!! I’m sorry you feel that way! It’s awfully frustrating when it comes especially when you’re unsure why!!! I hope tomorrow is a better day for you! Maybe fall asleep to a positive affirmation tonight

Happy early Birthday Tim:birthday:

Hi Danny. I am relieved to hear I’m not the only one. Sad to hear this happens to you also though. It’s no good when they hit, for me, I end up depressed for days!! I can’t seem to focus on anything other than sadness. I cry and cry. I think of all kinds of things at once and can not get them out of my mind no matter what I do. I’ll call a friend and vent but most of my friends aren’t in recovery and don’t seem to “get it” You are doing recovery the way you want to and that’s ok. There’s no right or wrong way. It seems common in early recovery as we are but trust me I wish I had more friends in recovery around me. Be grateful they are there for you. I am sure they understand your need for alone time as well though. Don’t take it personally. We all recover in different ways and timeframes.
For sure. Its one of the hardest things to get through so far in my 32 years.
