This time it’s a different “want” this time I’m doing it for ME & not my family! Can you all give me some encouraging words & motivation to stay on the right path into sobriety, because today is my first day that I haven’t drank & that’s been a big step since it’s been off & on for many years. I’m really excited to see what this app brings because I’ve tried other apps & they just weren’t for me. Thank you

You trying to reach out is your first step and a good one there is a lot of support here a lot of strength if nobody has told you I would like to tell you how great your doing it is something you will appreciate the rest of your life it’s been a day and tomorrow you will have another day I’m cheering you on :blush::blush::blush:

Welcome Araceli! We all know how hard it is to stay sober sometimes but it’s truly worth it. Having supportive people in your corner who will encourage you is a huge help. I personally like to leave little post-it notes where I’ll see them every day. Normally stating what my goals are or reminders of how I felt in times I wasn’t sober. Journaling also very therapeutic, allowing you release a lot of your inner thoughts. I am proud of you for wanting to do this for you and have no doubt you’ll be able to succeed!

The first time I shared at a Celebrate Recovery hit me hard and deep. I said I didn't want to disappoint myself or others again. I stopped drinking that day and have never looked back.
