This time two years ago I was really sick, physically, emotionally and spiritually. I was a slave to alcohol and was losing all hope for my future. I had NO idea that I would soon embark on the greatest journey of my life: sobriety and recovery. Here I am, almost two years later, so grateful to be alive and well.

Congratulations on 2 years! I am still early in my recovery (9 months) but agree that sobriety and recovery is the best decision I've ever made for myself. It's not always easy but it's so worth it!

Çongratulations Rachel!
I'm so happy for you.
I know the feeling. You wake up one day in a moment of clarity realizing that good choices reap good rewards.

Just remember that the circus is still in town. I relapsed in 2011 after almost 9 years of sobriety thinking that it could never happen to me. I spent 3 years out there because I believed the the lie; that this time everything would be ok.

It wasn't.

Don't believe the lie.

Happy for you.
