Hey added you as a friend! Dm me

Zero is the number of drinks you can have - have you contacted the place you were to see if the computer might still be there?

Yeahhhh ...sounds like you're like the many of us that just absolutely cannot touch it. That first drink inevitably leads to a dozen more and period of chaos hopefully confined to that night but often not. I'm at the point where I go out with friends and refrain. It helps to keep the last few periods of chaos fresh in your mind when you get that first craving. Also, if you stick around a few hours sober, the behavior of those drinking starts to serve as a deterrent. You become greatful you aren't stumbling, slurring, or talking two inches from people's faces.

We’ve all been there- glad you got the work computer back! Until I was at a point where I could say no, I stayed away from people, places, and things that gave me an opportunity to drink. That meant no happy hours, evenings where I knew I could sneak a drink, or even the alcohol aisle at the grocery store. It felt extreme, but it was totally worth it- and necessary! Wishing you the best- find a meeting, there’ll be a lot of support!

I took me many times attempting “controlled drinking”! I was never successful at it! Eventually I accepted that I had to abstain completely and work the program diligently! Finding a consistent home group really helped me with a recovery foundation.

Annie Grace can help you!!! Look her up & her This Naked Mind book & her The Alcohol Experiment book … you won’t regret it because she the absolute BEST. I didn’t even pay ~ I just borrowed them for free from the library. Her app & podcast are free too & she answers reader’s questions for free on YouTube

You can seek help by attending AA meetings…. Nothing changes if nothing changes
