I decided to try and date someone after my divorce. I went on a few date with a lady and invited her to accompany me out of town this weekend. She came and I realized by Saturday evening that she was looking for something way more serious than I was willing to commit to but figured I would address that when we were back in our home town. I never tried to lead her on and was up front before this that I was not looking for anything to serious on our first two dates. Anyways I discovered that I can’t date a person who drinks. Not because it tempts me but because a drunk person I do not have patience for anymore. Anyways she got smashed. I babysat her along with some friends. She got very jealous and decided she had to leave. We did try to stop her, but she still packed her stuff and left or at least we thought. Ends up she went to the hotel bar, drank more, and picked up a guy. We ran into her on the elevator with him. Anyways this reassured me that I need a time out on dating and that I can’t date a person that is not sober.
