As an addict this sculpture symbolizes for me what it was like during my active addiction. Trying to maintain a relationship, job, apartment, and any semblance of a life worth living while using felt somewhat like balancing an elephant on my back- impossible. On the day I decided to seriously get clean I made that photo my phones wallpaper and I haven’t changed it since. Thought some of you might enjoy this.
