Tired of my life

Laying here in bed after a night of partying and I’m sad mad anxious and overwhelmed. Will I ever be able to stop this cycle. It’s been so many years of trying and failing. I’m lost

You just took your first step! Reaching out. I had to ask for help this time. I know I’m powerless and can’t do this on my own. Keep reaching out.

Getting straight requires help from others . Get a therapist , go to meetings get a sponsor and take it One Day at a Time.

Just how tired are you? Are you sick and tired. Only you know. We all have choices and it’s what you choose to do with those choices matter. Instead of partying, get to a meeting regardless if online or in person, find a sponsor start working the steps. Surround yourself with positive people. In the book it suggests that you let go of people places and things it’s to your benefit. So again I ask you Just how tired are you? Today I have almost 4 yrs next month I get and choose to work the program it works it really does. All that stress and being overwhelmed well it fades and you don’t have to live in chaos anymore. I’m not saying that life doesn’t happen because it does life happens on life’s terms the good with the bad. We’re here to support you and cheer you on. Best wishes in your recovery ❤️‍🩹 Cindy

Yes, you will. I remember when I was asking myself this same question. Over and over again. To the point where I was dreaming and whatever random event was occurring these same thoughts pierced through as though they were reverberating down a large hallway. “Why can’t I stop drinking?… I have to stop… Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results..” I even had a dream where I died in my bedroom and couldn’t even scream for help and then I “woke up” in sleep paralysis (so I really thought I was a goner).

I say all that to say this:
Recovery doesn’t start on your first sober day. Recovery starts the day you try to reach out for help and change your situation. Regardless of how many mistakes you make along the way. Relapse is sometimes inherently part of the process. Lean on your support groups. A lot of the people in recovery know exactly what you’re going through, and you are worth the effort.

988 is a number you can dial for mental health crisis I was told by someone on here that it is absolutely free and they got at least a 90 minute session both times that they called. Just in case you need it, because mental health is also inherently part of the process.

You do not adorn your failures on your soul. You are the biggest smile you wear on your best days. You are the joy you see on a loved ones face when they are happy to see you. You are as great as your heart is big. You can change for the better, and you are well on your way! Hang in there, and keep fighting, cause your inner demons don’t got s*** on you!
