To hear the birds sing

a morning song is a great way to spend some of the silent moments at the pet resort. I am grateful to be here. I am tired from all of the DV training hours and I am having to remind myself today is Sunday and I do have to work in the morning. I already have my outfit for it picked out in my head... cropped capri leggings, a tunic and flip flops. Yep. Ready to roll.
I am basking in the silence of no dogs barking at the moment. I can hear the birds :bird: chirping as they are managing their morning. Silent. Silence. Golden moments at a pet resort. It is almost playtime for them. The resort is booked solid...all but one kennel is housed. I am feeling so blessed to be here and feeling so much gratitude for this opportunity to work with people who love animals and love to spoil them.
I am grateful my best friend had her power restored last night. I know they're happy, too.
I am grateful this morning for Shiloh making bolder strides in seeking human contact. She got on the bed. Inspected me...sniffing my hair, my back, and my hands. She slept on the passenger side, :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:, for many hours. This morning she played tug or tag with my hand. She let me touch her chin and that was it. That was huge! She is coming around. It will be so glorious to see and have her be more affectionate. Little is fine with her aloofness. She played fetch yesterday morning with her new squeaky toy. Brought it back for me to throw. Interesting actually . We played and I was almost late for class...lol. I appreciate her efforts and truly and grateful she knows how to play and play nicely.
Sober. Grateful to be sober. Today. Grateful for today. Strong. Grateful to be sober and strong, today.
