That broke me! She’s willing to pack up what she’s known her entire life to get me out this city if that’s what it takes. That’s drastic. If I don’t do anything else, I gotta do this most importantly for me, but also for her:crossed_fingers:t5:

My husband smokes and drinks way too much, and for me it’s like watching him killing himself by a thousand cuts. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about it other than praying that he’ll free himself one day. It’s awesome that you have compassion for your moms point of view! Often I think my husband doesn’t even try to quit smoking because he knows I desperately want him to (my dad smoked and drank himself to death at the age of 57), and he keeps going just to not let me ‘win’. It’s all so sick…
That is such a difficult thing to go through. I know relationships are difficult to manage, but remember your worth.
