Today I woke up sober next to my perfect person, and I am so grateful that he loves me in a way that I could never love myself. I am grateful that he sees my flaws and scars as the beauty marks that they are. Where I see reasons to hide from the Light, he sees my truths and chooses to love them harder. I am not sober today for him, but I am not so weak that I won't shout it to the world that I chose to start my recovery journey BECAUSE OF him. Without his pressence in my life I would still choose recovery, knowing it would be so much harder. Instead my Higher Power has allowed me the grace of building a beautiful chaotic future side by side with my best friend.
I am grateful to have a life abundant with Love, Hope, Faith. I am grateful that I have sunshine to spare even in my darkest hours
