Today, I had the money to put oil in my new car, on time and not when the oil light went on 3k miles late like I used to do in active addiction. I was able to keep my word and pick up the household items my mom needed, and not spend it on alcohol instead. Today I get to do the things I never cared about when I was drinking, and I am so thankful to be receiving such gifts in sobriety. I never thought I would be where I am today.

I used to blow off plans constantly because I couldn't just have one drink. I am so happy to be reliable now.

I haven’t read Four Agreements yet but I’m reading The Fifth Agreement which summarizes the first four. It is very good and I am glad it was recommended to me.

I read the four agreements many moons ago. Never heard of the fifth agreement.
It is co-authored with Miguel Ruiz and his son Jose, and it could be as well received as the first book was.
I gotta get thru "the 4" first....I'm about 2/5ths into the book.
