today i’m grateful for having had the power to bring myself out of my addiction and grateful to where i am today and optimistic for my future

Amen. Sobriety is not always an easy life. It can also be a longer existence but I think must would agree that it is less disappointing in that we disappoint ourselves less in our sobriety than in our addiction(s). I hope that you find the same to be true!
