Today I’m grateful for the progress in life I’ve made because of my sobriety. 3 years ago when I started this journey, I couldn’t imagine that I’d be back in the profession I had to leave because of my addiction. Today I take the board exam to reinstate my permanent license to practice veterinary medicine, I have full-time employment at large hospital, and I’m able to trust myself to do my best and work hard every day. I’m grateful for the growth in my spiritual life that enabled me to do this, for the support of family and friends in recovery, and the miracle of my sobriety.

Thanks for sharing brother!! Very inspiring post!! I see you are in Brandon Mississippi. My recovery started at COPAC recovery center in Brandon. This was when I was a kid back in 1989. It was a great long term treatment center. Not sure if it’s still in existence. Either way, congrats on your recovery!!
