I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired. I have to find my way out of this funk I’ve been in. It’s time I own my part in where I am today because of my choices.
Today I will start being thankful for my probation officer who is only doing her job to make sure I don’t screw up again. Why should I believe she wants me to screw up and go back to jail? Just because that has been others experience, does not mean that’s true. Today I will pray for her.
Today I will be grateful for the out patient program I get to attend three times a week. I get to see the struggles of those who don’t get to sleep in their own bed every night. I have an opportunity to be a blessing to others.
Today I will be grateful that I get to be chauffeured around like “driving miss daisy”. I will be thankful to spend that time connecting with my family who are so gracious to give me rides.
Today I am extremely grateful to have people in AA who have been quick to welcome me and show me what it means to be of service to others and expect nothing in return.
Today I am thankful for people in this community for being transparent and encouraging me every day.
