Today I'm grateful for all the joy my children bring me even though I'm still struggling with my addiction to alcohol they bring me true peace

To think we almost let addiction keep running the show… I get chills. If it still had the wheel, it’d be stealing from our kids too. If I hadn’t stood up and got honest, I honestly don’t know where I’d be. Gratitude doesn’t even cover it. Being sober feels like finally coming home.
