Today is a good day for reflection on Peace. On May 10th 1994, Nelson Mandela was sworn in as the first Black President of South Africa. Having already won the Nobel Peace prize. As the Deputy President of the ANC, he successfully led negotiations to end apartheid and bring about a peaceful transition to non-racial democracy in South Africa.
These are the actions of a man that knows his own peace. Do you know yours? How do you find your inner peace?
In a tumultuous time filled with Civil unrest, a time where stress levels on a personal level are at an all time high... how do you keep your peace of mind intact?
What are your thoughts on creating peace on a larger scale?
I believe that it starts with us. It starts with you focusing on being at peace with yourself. If everyone focused on their own peace of mind, as hokey as it sounds, I believe that the world could be a much better place.
So today, reflect on your own peace. Find a quiet spot, even if it's just for a few minutes, and chill out. Try a 3 minute breathing exercise on the Othership app or a 5 minute meditation on Headspace. It doesn't take much to change your perspective toward the better for the day.

Nice thought. My peace starts upon waking. Say my hello to my higher power and know he’s got my back the day forward. Works for me. Sadly, the world isn’t very in tuned to having peace. Yet, you are right. It starts within us. Nice post.
