You’re not going to be sober for the rest of your life in one day ...just relax. Stay sober just for today ... then just keep doing that every day. You got this. We believe in you! ...AWESOME work...IT GETS LESS DIFFICULT O2-28-2OO2

David, welcome :pray: to Loosid. Thank you for sharing.
I tried getting sober for my family a few times. This last time I came to treatment was to get my stuff back. This time I didn’t get my stuff back. But what I did do is stay for me. Keep your head up. One day at a time.

I agree. I cant do inpatient because of work but Ive done their programs and know what needs to be done. The routine and change of scenery is a must! I will be looking for a sponsor soon.

David, that was my focus. All thru withdrawals, I kept my girls faces as my focus. I was also very tired of failing them. So many people say, but you have to do it for yourself...when your self esteem is in the gutter, that is not always possible. I didn't care much about myself back then. But I knew that the love I have for my daughters would push me through.

One hour one day at a time...you can do this David!

Kathy The hardest part is loving ourselves again. Especially when we blame ourselves for mistakes made years ago. Whatever the case, we deserve to love eachother and to be present in our kids lives. The connection we all have as addicts is the same at the end. Together we can all fight this and learn to live a sober life. I appreciate all of you and am here to listen as well. We all have problems but what we all dont have i SUPPORT!

Set and Be an Example for your kids. Show them you don’t get anywhere in life by being a Quitter. Make them Proud Dave.
