Today marks 30 days without alcohol. I feel accomplished, even tho 30 days isn’t much this is the first time since I was pregnant in 2010 sober for this long. I wasn’t an everyday drinker but an emotional one. I would drink when I was sad, stressed, angry and even sometimes happy, to celebrate. I was a binge drinker, a friday all night drinker, wake up Saturday morning drinker that turned into an afternoon and Sunday morning drinker. A blackout drinker, taken advantage of drinker. A drinker that probably wouldn’t hook up with the people I did if I was sober, and sometimes without my consent black out drinker. A how did I get home drinker, looking through my phone for photos and videos to piece the nights together drinker. A end up with strangers drinker. A miss my surprise party drinker, a stumble drinker. I thank God for saving me. I’ve been praying for strength for a long time now. He opened my eyes to the damage alcohol has caused in my life. To my emotional, financial and physical self.
I proud of my 30 days, it’s sometimes embarrassing to say I’m not drinking because people automatically looks at you as of your some kinda weak person with serious issues that you can’t control alcohol: I’m not weak, I’m strong enough to admit that alcohol impairs your judgment and you do things you normally wouldn’t. And trust me, it’s happen to everyone whether they admit it or not. It’s happen, regrets have happened while intoxicated.
Today, 30 days. I’m strong, I value myself and love myself. I don’t need alcohol for comfort. I have strength and GOD defeating the enemy.
Happy for this app, Where I can share and release.
I’m a coffee drinker lol
