Thank you, I went to my first AA meeting and I felt so much better being able to relate with others.
One day at a time.

Yall have a ton to do.....sobriety isn't big here... I work out ALOT lol

I just got back into the gym last week! You’re right, it does help a lot. Keeps me extremely busy with work, school, and gym.. I have no time to think of drinking or even want it lol.

Alcohol is a perfect solvent: It dissolves marriages, families, and careers.

Alcoholism really does creep up on you. At the end if the road it takes you one of three places jail, institutions, or death.

Glad you took the first step which is admitting you have a problem. If you can attend 90 meetings in 90 days and stay sober, you have a high chance of making it to a year and so forth.

What worked for me the last few years and what might work for you is getting a network of sober friends. I have hundreds of sober folks numbers in my phone who I met in AA.

Good luck in your journey

Thank you so much!
Unfortunately that is all too true, it will lead you down one of those roads.
I’m trying to find support and other friends that can also relate with sobriety. It’s definitely not easy, but the people are out there! I appreciate your kind words.

Many people never expect to become addicted, but recognizing it is a huge first step toward change.

It takes a lot of courage to admit it, and as you can see support is available here.
Reach out for support the second thoughts of drinking start. Write a post. Add friends. Etc.
Join a in person support group, or a professional, can make all the difference too. Every step you take is another step closer.
