Today my theory of having a network proved it's point... So a little background about me. I'm a chef and have been one for almost 30 years. I was raised in the field since I was 8. Which is why I liked drinking and drugging. Today is the worst day possible for me. St Patrick's day where liquor and beer pour allllll day and drugs are not to far away. At 7:20am I started getting phone calls from not one nor four but seven people called me. All morning my phone was going off with support and encouragement to get through the day. A lawyer I go to with in the meeting called me and we strengthen each other with words of encouragement and power to know we can make it through the day. He did most of his work over drinks and office already called off the day for drinking. Back to the network... I couldn't believe how many people called me and told me that I had an option to call anyone, hit a zoom meeting on my phone at ANY time and the option to go hangout with a sober friend. You know what, that got me through the day. Having so many people worried about me and making sure I knew the way out if things got dicey. I had no urges or cravings while it was around me and people were drunk. I actually enjoyed it for a change knowing my network was in my corner and having so many people to rely on.

That’s awesome man! Your sober team got you through, and you helped them as well. That’s what it’s all about.

Thank you sir. Gotta have them or your doomed. Like one of them says, "if I don't pick up leave a voicemail don't use that as an excuse to say you tried. I'll call back."
