Today our NA hall, the hall that saved me burnt

Today our NA hall, the hall that saved me burnt down at about 3 am. So many lives have been touched by this here in my home town. It’s the holidays and it’s hard enough. being a recovering addict. But now we lost our home. Please pray for our community as we do what we can to figure out a way to make it still possible to recover together

How can I help you?

Honestly I have no answers for this, it’s been such a hard tragic day and they deemed it an intentional fire. Someone intentionally burned it down. We have been reaching out to places all day to try to find a new place

I'm so very sorry for your loss I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and you know that we have a big father he will make it possible for you to get all your prayers answered

Have you had any luck?

I haven’t heard yet. They are holding a meeting to discuss some options

That is a really unfortunate and difficult situation to go through. Hopefully you can all continue to support each other in the process of finding a new location to meet. Trust that your higher power will keep you safe, and I’ll pray for your community tonight :heart:

How can we help?

This is so sad to hear. The meeting was the people who attended it, not the walls in which it was held (I know thats super cheesy to say). Maybe a local church / the town / municipality can provide a temp space as a new jumpoff?

We are trying to find a new home. My church did offer a temporary solution for us we are very grateful. If the walls at our hall could talk there would be many stories tho and that’s the sad part. Yes all of us who attend make the meeting but the walls were our home. Now we have to find a new one, which anything is possible. We got this, as a team and a community. We will figure this out, just please keep us in your prayers. I appreciate everyone for offering help, I just don’t know what kind of help we need right now.

Hopefully no one was injured?Same thing happened at our ALANO club. Back in the smoking meetings days. Someone was helping clean up and emptied an ash tray into a trash can.
Gods will, not mine be done. The club came back in another location nearby and helped more folks than ever. It’s going to be OK. Hang in there.
