Today’s exceptionaly hard , today would’ve been my 5yr anniversary! I was in Prison for 13months and in that time she slowly moved on , she’s not a user , so I took advantage of her always being there and I came home one month ago with the idea we wer going to take things slow but after 2weeks I felt her getting further away from the plan ! So I have taken responsibility for my actions and everyday gets harder as she’s found someone else, and there is a 3yr old our daughter together and it’s hard to except that I have to miss out on allot of things that I would be there for if Only I stopped using before and put Them before my use ! I will mention that I’ve been sober since the day I went away on “May 4th 2023” so 14months! I’m proud of myself and will continue doing it with Faith and Strength to carry on

I’m sorry to hear that man but also proud of you for having 14 months of sobriety and staying the course! I always say, sobriety gives us a fighting chance to turn our life around. If you continue to grow and change for better, there is always the possibility of reconnecting with loved ones. You may also arrive at a certain point where you open you meet someone new, who gets the best version of a healthy sober Marky. Best of luck man!
