Today was a really hard day but I made it

Today was a really hard day but I made it! I learned a few things about myself in the process.

  1. I am a fighter, even when it comes to fighting my own brain and habits.
  2. I have a hard time reaching out to my family & friends for help when it's something I feel ashamed about.
  3. Keeping my mind busy is going to be a necessity, boredom is my biggest trigger!
Day 3 is down and I feel even more determined to keep pushing.

Know thy self! I keep finding out about how my alcoholic mind works. Alcohol is always right there. Part of everyday life. Simple to access. Learning my triggers (excuses) and figuring out how to combat it's power, feels like a tremendous win any time I don't give in. I love that you understand it is a FIGHT!
KEEP FIGHTING!!!
