Todays my first day of admitting I have a problem. At first I was very unaware of how my actions were hurting the people I love. I’m very new to this . I’ve struggled with alcohol, and if there’s any tips on getting sober I’d greatly appreciate it.
Good afternoon Tim , i struggled with this in the start. Of always identifying out but that didn’t help only made matters worse . Just remember things slowly get better over time
Thank you. I was so scared to even admit I had the problem in the first place too. But todays day 1 and I’m excited for the new me. I appreciate you commenting.
That’s great, you’ve started the recovery process by admitting you have a problem.
Find your local Alcoholics Anonymous group and go to meetings. Listen and see if you identify with what anyone is saying.
I suggest 90 meetings in 90 days. It helped me tremendously.
Hey Man, I hope this message finds you well. If you stay busy, live your life in 24 hour periods that helped me. Please give A.A. A shot. You’re going to meet some really great people who will help you along the way. Get a sponsor and work the steps. For me that ended the whole thinkin about drinking, thinkin about not drinking thing. When you lose the obsession of the mind you can’t be stopped
I appreciate it. Yeah I’m going to attend one very soon. Kind of nervous.
Appreciate it. It’s not going to be easy.
Thank you for the advice. Definitely going to look into going very soon.
I was too. But no need to be nervous. It’s just a group of people who have a problem with alcohol same as us. Getting together to have a vastly better life.
I’m super grateful I went and still go.
Right. Never thought of it that way. Thanks
