Tomorrow will be 40 days clean of pain killers and and 17 clean of booze. First time in 8 years that o have been completely sober. I have utilized antabuse to keep me from drinking and just thought of now sick I could get by coming in contact with alcohol keeps me humbled and walking the straight and narrow, but i would get lying if i said i was not scared . It is easy right now not to drink because i have a crutch that keeps me from but I cant always stay on antabuse and in 2 weeks I wont have that crutch anymore. I am using meditation and iron therapy but i am scared it wont he enough

First off, great job…hell of start! I think having structure will be key as you move forward. Going to NA meetings/AA meetings would be worth a look. You may have already done this..but an IOP program would be great too, most insurances pick it up. Some can do it on their own, but having structure for me my first year really helped. Felt like putting in work held me way more accountable. Anyway, great job, pumped on where you’ve already gotten so far!

I appreciate the words and advice my dude, I am in IOP currentley and they the director and owner of the place are amazing people. The owner is actually my sponsor in a sense. Im going to continue to keep outting in the work day in and out, and the antabuse problem wont be a problem for a couple of weeks and i am trying to not look that for ahead until and deal with problems when they arise nit prevent them if that makes sense. But that thought pop into my head today and worried me
