Tomorrow will be hard

I have never detoxed from Meth. But what helped me get through my first weeks was remembering why I am doing this and what it has done to me. I wrote down what I was feeling throughout the day. If I had a craving I would just read what I wrote down. Also everyday gets a little better. Good luck. We are here for you.

I recommend going to a hospital if you are detoxing from alcohol as it is dangerous to detox alone. If you are detoxing off of meth or cocaine, get plenty of sleep, lots of soups in case your stomach is upset, lots of Gatorade or Powerade or pedialyte to help with keeping you hydrated in case you get sick a lot.

Lots of fluids and sugary items will help.

The first week you'll feel very tired, but you should try to stay away from caffeine. So don't be surprised if you are sleeping a lot.

I’m on day 3 sober. It’s hard. I’m struggling to stay clean myself. We can be sober buddies if you want to chat to kill time

Get yourself a journal. Even just a 50 cent comp notebook.

When we write, it takes over our brain and our body. It’s different than just thinking, which can easily go from good to bad. But, when you write, be focused, and write only what brings you joy.

Write the things you are grateful for. Write the things you’ve done well in each day. Remind yourself constantly of how amazing you are. Write write write. And when thoughts get you distracted, write some more.

Before long, you will find yourself COMPLETELY in control of your thoughts and the days you create with them. :blush:
