Tonight is the biggest night of the year to go

Tonight is the biggest night of the year to go out and party. We have officially hit “hurricane” season for addicts. The other day I heard it called the Bermuda Triangle (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Eve)
Lots of people are going to be resetting their clean time. If youre reading this, dont let that be you. 🫶🏻 :turkey:

That’s a good way to put it, the Bermuda Triangle lol I’ve never heard it like that, but it’s super true! I plan on keeping my date!!!

Me too! I almost relapsed earlier dealing with the inlaws. But I just locked myself in the other room after slaving over the stove for them to barely touch it. They are just ungrateful and don't know how to season their food. It broke my heart.

It really is. This whole season can pull people back into old habits quick. Good reminder to keep each other close.

I was thinking about past holidays using and getting loaded all day, but I played the tape through and took every memory as it came and went. Still sober and grateful.

This is such a wonderful announcement. A proclamation! Let it be known! You too, do not have to reset your sobriety clock. Keep hustling! YOU CAN DO IT

TODAY'S , THIS 24 HOUR's CHIP, IS STILL THE ONLY IMPORTANT ONE, EVEN AFTER 25 YEARS.

Thank you for the heads up. For me not only the season, but a point in recovery when that old friend “Addiction” shows up to convince you it is ok to have a drink, you know your limit now.

Time to double down on the meetings and fellowship.

Focus on the good things around the Holidays make new memories. Don’t focus on the alcohol and the parties you don’t need to go to. It’s not worth all the hard work you have done for yourself. I volunteer for the homeless and reach out to people in need. Making new memories saved my life🌸

I commend you on sharing. You will be stronger and praying is the most important. Depression does suck, you’re alive and your children still have a father that is alive. Don’t go down those dark tunnels in life. Turn it around. God Bless you and your children. You children someday will be so happy you’re alive and sober.

That's what they call it here in California. Don't look for reasons to use and keep your eyes on the sobriety prize. Go to meetings, read the book and do the work. Stay connected with good people. Stick with the winners. The opposite of addiction is connection. Love you all and wish you the best .
