I’m a recovering alcholic experiencing my first hoilday season without my family and being sober. One of my AA friends say that this the “Hurricane Season” for recovering alcholics. They are having an all night share-a-thon ( AA meetings). I want to go, but I know this is drinking season and people will be DUI. Ironically, I use to drink in drive.

Are you working the steps? You know working a spiritual recovery is necessary for success. That means surrendering your vices over to your higher power. If you believe in a higher power you also know he won't lead you astray and will protect you wherever you go.
