Hey yall, I just wanna say I have a little story. I wanna see if any of you guys have ever experienced something like this so I lost my tooth completely and broke 2 teeth during a withdrawal seizure that could’ve killed me. I was in a facility that ignored my symptoms and refused to medicate me properly because I was “med-seeking” apparently even though I just wanted to detox. I was shaking, burning up, and begging for help. They dismissed it until it was too late. I had such bad muscle spasms from the withdrawal that I fell and broke my teeth straight in half and then I had a seizure in the hospital and I think I died for a second and they brought me back, and woke up, dazed, and confused and scared and a fractured trust in the system. That moment changed everything. I survived but I shouldn’t have had to fight that hard just to live. Us addicts deserve so much better we deserve to be treated like humans not”junkies” I only look like I’m smiling because I tried to use dark humor to cope…
