Hi, I'm just having a tough time these days. I find myself being really lonely these days. I have a lot of blessings but I'm missing that one person to share my life with. I love myself, I'm happy with my life except this aspect of it. I've been in recovery for over 10 years and I've never felt this way. I'm getting old, almost 58, and I just didn't see myself growing old alone. I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing, am I missing something? I just don't know anymore.

Loneliness is the most difficult thing for me in sobriety. I don’t have any friends. I hang out with my parents a lot. I cook for them. That’s all I have, aside from interacting with people at the grocery store. I’m 33, and I will probably be alone for the rest of my life.
You are not alone in feeing alone, ironically.
