I love to travel all over. I’m tired of going with people who drink and feeling uncomfortable. Any fellow travelers?
Vacations have been issues for me as well. Mine are either family ski trips where all are drinking all day, or business trips where all of my colleagues are partying after our work is done. I’m switching things up this time around and also looking for more sober leisure time activities. I’m going to do a ski trip this winter with some of my AA brothers. I’ve heard of sober cruises and other sober travel clubs. I’m married so I haven’t looked into it myself, but I think that’d be cool. I did do a spiritual retreat with the Mrs earlier this year. That was fun, and mostly a sober environment. Either way, good to see you getting out there and having some sober fun!!
Hey Sandy, there’s a lot of sober travel you can meet new sober friends on. There’s a Facebook group called “travelers in AA.” Or google sober travel companies. There’s sober cruises. Some of my sober sisters are now going on. We’re having a womens conference in Florida witch great hotel rates, perfect way to meet sober traveling friends. So many awesome options.
If you get through the Cleveland area, stop at the Freethinkers AA meeting, Monday Thru Friday, at noon.
Thank you so much!!
Thank you
Will do
