I watched the movie "Finding Faith" over the weekend. The movie had a trigger warning due to substance abuse in the film. This is the 1st time I've ever seen anything like this and I was quite pleased!
What movies have you seen with a substance abuse trigger warning? Do you avoid watching movies that you know have substance abuse?
Early on I skipped anything triggering. I don’t think I watched this one. Might have to check it out. Ty!
I haven’t seen a substance abuse trigger warning on anything I’ve watched yet but I got triggered by any meth or coke use on tv and films in early recovery. I remember some episodes of Succession being particularly triggering. Every episode of Breaking Bad has a cloud of meth smoke rise in the opening credits and that would get me but I eventually got used to it. I had to learn how to get through triggers without leading to obsession so they ultimately became like good practice for me.
