It’s possible. It’s really hard when someone close to you becomes a trigger. Constantly hearing your past brought up can make it feel like you’re stuck in it, even when you’re working hard to move forward. It might help to set boundaries and calmly let her know how it affects you. If that doesn’t help, talking with a counselor or someone who can mediate might give you both tools to communicate better. Your recovery is about you, and staying focused on that is what matters most.
