Trying my hardest

I hate when you’re doing your best and your clean and sober and the people you love and would die for will still find something wrong like they forgot the person you were on drugs

I know Maria. So hard. At first I think it’s because friends and family are in fear of your life, but as soon as they know, you are safe and somewhat healthy again, than all of that anger, and all of that frustration comes out. That’s why I tell men and women in treatment NOT to write letters and talk to their wives or husbands, because I swear to God, after the first couple of weeks of congratulations and lovey dovey phone calls people start holding you accountable and getting less supportive. The times I’ve been in treatment. I agreed not to speak with my partner the entire time (4 months) and it may sound weird but it kind of saved our trust and gave her some time off. Although it eas hard.

But just remember. People may not show their love you in the way that it feels when they are super afraid of losing you, but they probably still love you very much.

AND most people who are looking at somebody else to find some thing wrong with that person are insecure about themselves or projecting a quality they don’t like about themselves onto you). make sure to love yourself!! Stay strong and give yourself appreciation for your accomplishments. :v:
