I hear you. You don't have to use, however. And it has been my experience that the more meetings I attend, step work I do, etc, the less I am enticed to use.

Without effort we will have no results. 956 days sober.
It sounds like you are looking for a reason to use. I was there many times. I had friends go out and use with the same thoughts. Some of them are no longer here. It is a hard truth, some of them never make it back.
One person that I attended his funeral, had not used for 7 years... He used once and the substance was cut with fentanyl. He left his children fatherless.
We all struggle, but we have to get completely honest with ourselves.

One moment at a time

Cannabis helps me a lot but it's not legal where I live unfortunately and all the DAA groups frown about its use I find it kinda strange reach out to someone when you feel the urge or even when you get a thought

Don’t use! You could die, and if you don’t you’ll wake up with regret and very upset with yourself. Drugs don’t give us anything, it only takes and destroys our lives. Don’t do it! Go to a meeting!

Using cannabis is not the way to sobriety. It will lead you back to full blown relapse. I’ve seen happen every time.

WAKE UP!!! Go to meetings plural today, tonight, tomorrow and then repeat. Raise your hand and tell them you are in trouble and need help.
Get a sponsor, do the steps thoroughly and then do them again and again.
RUN DONT walk!
The truth is that 90% of us addicts don’t make it. We die from our addictions.
You gotta fight hard to make it out.
I’m here if you WANT to talk.

Cannabis is a drug in my opinion. I read that weed slows down the users ability to learn 10X.

You are worth way more Jenn

Temptations are hard. You gotta dig deep and fight however it fits you best. Try finding new hobbies! There’s tons to do out there to keep you and your mind busy. It helps me to get over cravings from time to time. And it’s crazy the beauty you’ll see in life through those hobbies. I just started roasting my own coffee beans and the difference in Ethiopian vs Colombian beans is interesting.

Appreciate your thoughts . I’m four years sober from drinking alcohol . It’s legal in Canada

Cannabis that is

We all face challenges in life some that test our strength in ways we never expected. It’s in these moments, when everything feels too heavy to bear, that the idea of escaping through alcohol or substances might seem tempting. But remember this: sobriety is your strength.

In tough times, it’s easy to lose sight of the future, to feel overwhelmed by the weight of the present. But when we stay sober, we’re making a powerful choice to face life head-on, to grow stronger, to remain in control, and to keep moving forward.

Good morning, Jenn i’m sorry to hear you were struggling. Have you heard of the phrase move a muscle change of thought???

What good will come from using? Absolutely nothing. Fight for your worth and your life. The temptation is strong but you are stronger💪
